Terms of Service
Effective date: May 17, 2026 · Last updated: May 17, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at sununplug.com (the "Site") and any related communications, quotes or services provided by SunUnplug ("SunUnplug", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Site or submitting a quote request, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are
SunUnplug is a Florida-focused service that helps homeowners coordinate the safe removal and reinstall of their existing solar panel system when replacing the roof. Installation work — including all electrical and mechanical labor — is performed by our partner contractor RTM Power Energy LLC, a Florida-licensed electrical contractor (License EC13016044).
2. Use of the Site
You may use this Site for lawful, personal and informational purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or other users' data
- Use automated scraping, bots or excessive crawling that may overload our infrastructure
- Submit false, misleading or harmful information through any form
- Reproduce, copy or republish content from this Site without our written permission
3. Quote Requests & Estimates
Estimates are non-binding
Any project windows, pricing ranges or other figures shown on this Site or in initial quotes are estimates only. Actual pricing depends on many factors, including system size, roof complexity, panel count, equipment condition, scheduling coordination with the roofer, permits, and the final on-site assessment.
Binding agreements
A binding agreement is created only when both parties sign a written project agreement that defines scope, equipment, price, schedule and warranties. Information posted on this Site or in marketing materials is not a binding offer.
Quote validity
Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless otherwise stated. Pricing may change due to equipment cost, utility-program changes, permit-fee updates, or scheduling conflicts.
4. Communication & Consent (TCPA)
5. Existing Solar System & Equipment Warranties
Solar panels, inverters, batteries and other equipment installed by another contractor remain subject to those manufacturers' original warranty terms. While we take reasonable care to preserve those warranties during removal and reinstall — and use installation methods consistent with industry best practices — we cannot guarantee that the original system manufacturer will honor every warranty claim. You are responsible for reviewing your existing equipment and installer warranties before scheduling the project.
6. Roof & Re-Roofing Coordination
Re-roofing work is performed by a separate contractor of your choosing. SunUnplug and RTM Power Energy are not responsible for the roofing work, materials, scheduling, leaks, or any defects caused by the roofer. We coordinate with your roofer on timing only.
7. Installation Warranty
RTM Power Energy provides a workmanship warranty on the removal and reinstall labor as documented in your signed project agreement. Specific terms, durations and coverage are governed by that agreement.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including logos, brand names, photos, text, graphics, code and design — is owned by SunUnplug or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
9. Third-Party Links & Services
This Site may link to third-party sites or embed third-party services (e.g., Google Apps Script for form processing, financing partners, social media). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or terms of any third-party site or service. Your use of those is governed by their own terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of content. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SunUnplug and its officers, employees, contractors and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost savings, lost data or business interruption — arising from or related to your use of this Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any direct claim arising from this Site shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). The signed project agreement with RTM Power Energy governs liability for installation work. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; they apply to the fullest extent permitted in your jurisdiction.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold SunUnplug and RTM Power Energy harmless from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed project agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and SunUnplug regarding the use of the Site.
